Hooray! It's My Blog's 1st Anniversary! :)

Today, I'm celebrating the 1st year of my beauty blog. Indeed, time flies really fast. It feels like it was just yesterday when my friends were still convincing me to put up a blog. Honetly, I never imagined that I'd be able to last.

I have to admit that I haven't posted that much but I'm just happy to know that all of my posts were read and visited by a number of people. It somehow relieves me that I make sense to some. Lol

With that, I'd also like to give special shout out to the people who never tire of motivating me.

My Family
Eugene
Ave Royd
Guita, Ai, Abby and Issa
My Glee Club family
Co-workers and SMART friends
Schoolmates (from ADMU and SPCB)
Beauty Bloggers

I always find myself smiling whenever someone tells me that he/she reads my blog and that I should continue doing it. Seriously, it keeps me going. Though i'm not as popular as other bloggers, I can assure you that I think about what I post and I do take my time to make sure that I do quality blog entries.

So this ends the 1st year of my blog and a new chapter awaits. They say new beginning means better tomorrow. :)

What's in store for the next few months?

1. Better product reviews
2. More travel blogs
3. Tutorials!!!
4. Updated makeup portfolio
5. And more gimiksssss!

Again, thank you so much for taking your time to read and I hope I still see you here. I'm definitely looking forward to more blog anniversaries. Who knows, I might be able to give back to you in whatever way.

Makeup Haul: Surprise from an E.L.F.

I think Christmas came in very early this year cause I just got a gorgeous gift from a real ELF. Ahhhh no. Not the mythical creature but the makeup brand. :)

It is actually my 1st time to receive a surprise package from a beauty company that's why I'm so excited to share it with my readers. I'm sure a lot of popular bloggers would say that they're used to receiving packages but I bet they would agree with me that firsts are always memorable. In my case, I want to immortalize it thus this blog post.
Even posted it on Instagram...Yeah I was that excited :))

My Spring/Summer Inspired Look

Before the rainy season officially starts, let me give you one simple Spring/Summer inspired look. I wore this look on a sunny day in Budapest, Hungary. It was also a scheduled courtesy visit to the Philippine Ambassador. Since it's a beautiful Spring morning, I decided to use pink and corals, a color combination very popular this season.

Product Review: Himalaya Herbals Kajal Eye-Definer (Get close to the real thing)

A girl can never have enought black eyeliners. There's just so many kinds out there and you know you have to own at least every type. But the most common form of black eyeliner is in pencil and we like it better if it's made of Kohl/Kajal. The smooth glide of Kajal is friendly to our lids but have you actually tried the real thing?

I actually did, 3-4 years ago. It was introduced to me by friend Martha and luckily, I was able to find one in Greenhills. It's super cheap (around Php60...that cheap) yet pigmentation is superb. The seller said that it's authentic Kajal and it came all the way from India. I loved using it to create the perfect smokey-eyes. However, after a few months, the consistency changed. It became difficult to work with that it hurt my lids. After the incident, I decided to stop using it.

My friend had a trip to India last December and she gave me an authentic Kajal as pasalubong. This Kajal is different from my previous one and definitely looks more promising.

My Europe Tour Collective Haul

I talked about my travel essentials in my previous post. This time around, it's time to reveal the products I bought on my recent trip. Last year, I invested on more expensive makeup brands thus a fewer products to review. This time around, I promised myself to explore the drugstore brands in Europe. And it didn't fail me cause I definitely found a bucket of eye candies. Without further ado, here are the things I purchased.

Wait... please don't judge me after I show you the photos. I am no hoarder... I just happen to love makeup. :))

What to bring when?! (My Travel Essentials)

Hellooooooo! And I'm blogging again. I am so sorry for not posting the whole time I was in Europe. I didn't know that it will be difficult to do entries. It was that hectic and busy. Anyway, saying sorry won't do anything. I might as well make it up to you. :)

I've been to Europe for 52 days with the Ateneo College Glee Club. Like I said in my previous entries, we were there to compete and hold concerts in different cities. Fortunately, it was a successful journey. :)

Since 52 days is quite a long travel, I was so tempted to bring my whole traincase. But of course, weight limit is no joke. Yes, I had a hard time choosing which ones to bring. The challenge was to make everything fit in this personalized medium-sizes travel case (c/o Tita B).
Another thing to consider that time, the season! I was looking forward to a lovely Spring and it means that I needed to bring more colors. After a lot of self-debate, here are the things I brought with me to Europe. I'm sure a number of tips can be useful to other travelers as well.

Product Review: E.L.F. Lipsticks (Must-haves!)

Look who's back? I owe you a lot of backlogs from my recent trip. But let me give you my long overdue review of cheap but good quality lipsticks from another drugstore brand. A lot of people got curious with L.A. lipsticks that I reviewed. Who wouldn't? Violet lipsticks are very rare in the market.

Lemme share with you another drugstore lipstick that I am in love with. Yes it's not every girl's ideal lipstick but it surely delivers. A lot of you know of E.L.F. (Eyes Lips Face), a US drugstore brand available locally. I've already explored a lot of items from that store but it was only this year that I had the chance to try it's lipsticks. Initially, I purchased just one shade but after a few weeks of usage, I decided to try the other colors available. Well, obviously I liked it.
