Charm Travel Pro Brush Set Review: My Favorite Personal Set

Every girl should have a brush set they can use for applying makeup but for someone who's not really into it, a set can be quite expensive. Luckily, we now have local brands that sell affordable and quality brushes.

As a MUA, I do purchase the more prestigious brands for my clients. However, it's not the case for myself. I give more weight on the quality rather than the brand, that's why when I was able to test this Charm Travel Pro Set, I know it will be worth it.

Softness is definitely a trademark of Charm brushes. I suddenly remember that my first travel brush set (5 pc. set) came from Charm. Yes, that was eons ago.

Price: Php 2,500.00

I love that the packaging is so compact and sturdy. The leather casing also keeps it from elements that may affect the quality of the brush.

The pink ferrule is definitely a plus for girls who are obsessed with the color. I got this right before my Europe Tour and it was my best buddy during my makeup sessions. It contains 14 brushes that has 2 flaps, separating the face brushes from the eye and lip brushes. The first flap of the pouch has the 5 face brushes namely:

1. Stippling Brush
2. Foundation Brush
3. Powder Brush
4. Angled Blush Brush
5. Concealer Brush
The remaining 9 brushes are as follows:
6. Lip Brush
7. Brow Spoolie
8. Bent Eyeliner Brush
9. Eyebrow Shading Brush
10. Wet/Dry Eyeshadow Brush
11. Flat Liner Brush
12. Angle Eyeshadow Brush
13. Pencil Point Brush
14. Blending Brush

You see, this set has it all. It's even beyond your basic needs for daily makeup.
I actually have a few favorites in this set:

Foundation Brush - Makes foundation application easy especially with the short handle.
Angled Blush Brush - Perfect for contour and blush application
Blending Brush - this is probably my most favorite cause it does blend my shadows well. The white bristles also help me see the color I used from previous use.
Pencil Point Brush - You can use this brush to smudge or apply shadow on your lower lashline. It's not as soft as the blending brush so the precision is more reliable.
Eyebrow Shading Brush- I've been carrying this brush around me everyday and I grab this whenever I need to fill my brows.
Spoolie - This spooilie is heaven-sent cause it's stiff but the bristles are still gentle for your brows.

I now have 2 of these and the other one is the limited edition Sonia set (Php 2,750.00), which I also got as a gift. I use the pink set for personal use and the gold set for my clients.

Overall, I give it a 5/5. This is definitely a must have! For a bunch of quality brushes, it's worth every penny. You have to ensure that you take care of the brushes though.

What's your favorite affordable brush brand for personal use? I also have new favorites that I use for my clients, which I will discuss in another post. :)

Have a good week ahead! :)
